This sake set was done at Portland Pottery in October, 2016. This work represents some of my first slab built pottery.
The design is based on a 2" module which determines the scale and design of the pieces. Interestingly, pottery shrinks when kiln dried, so the final sizes are about 12% smaller.
The glaze is a dark black-brown which accents the edges of each cubic form.
