This was another project that sat on a shelf for months. I had the idea and started but for some reason, didn’t see the way forward. So, I’ve allowed myself to do, I put it aside until the time came when I could see what was needed. Interestingly, it was the funeral of a dear friend’s father that spurred the project to its conclusion. Something in that experience asked me to pick up these two rocks again and connect them. A metaphor for the relationship of father and son can be seen in the finished work.
