RG26-23 - Round Rim Bowl

Sweetgrass coiled with waxed linen thread, attached to a found stone, finished with artificial sinew. 11" x 8.5" x 1.75"
Up on the Porch Roof, Portland, ME

This piece experiments with form, color, and stitching. The rounded sides hold a unique space, while the use of black and red threads helps to bring contrast to the form. This piece was the first where I “switched” the stiching’s direction in order to allow the lines to read most clearly.
