This open-weave willow basket showcases Bonnie Gale’s approach to functional, handcrafted design. Its interlaced structure highlights willow's flexibility, while the simple form reflects traditional basket-making techniques. A round base is woven, then staked up in multiples of four rods, which become side weavers. These are woven back to the base to create a foot wale.
