Crafted from natural and dyed 3 mm flat-oval reed, this basket features the Japanese wave weave, creating a spiraling pattern around its form. The piece begins with a 3/3 twill base and incorporates several rows of waxed-linen twining to define the distinctive cat-head silhouette. The design showcases both technical skill and the rhythmic beauty of pattern in modern basketry.
