This piece combines natural fibers traditionally used in basketry with unaltered elements from the landscape. The curved sweetgrass forms are shaped to fit the stone's contours, creating a simple intersection of materials that emphasizes texture, balance, and how natural objects can be shaped—or discovered—in their environment. One basket folds and bears weight; the other rests, tipped and unused.
