This is a form I return to often because it reminds me of an owl's beak. Each is made of natural fiber, stitched tightly to hold its shape, and fastened firmly at the center with a stone. The coil turns inward until it becomes dense and self-supporting. The pieces are complete when tension, gravity, and the material reach equilibrium.
