This is one of my favorite pieces in large part because it was such a struggle. The actual form and stitching were not hard but the form and concept were elusive. I had an almost constant argument with myself as to what was the “right” or “wrong” direction. In the end, I kept faith in the MAKING, which inevitably proves to be the path toward success. This piece feels like it has some of my blood, sweat, and tears (and some loud internal arguments).
