RG23-23 - Shallow Bowl

Sweetgrass coiled with waxed linen thread, attached to a found stone, finished with artificial sinew. 11" x 8" x 2"

This is the first shallow bowl I made. Here I am working to bring a functional aspect to the sweetgrass and stone work. This and following pieces still begin with a stone or stones as their impetus but conclude with a form that allows the finished work to hold objects.
