With this piece, the idea of what holds and what is held is challenged. The “right” way up is also questioned, as is the notion of a basket as an object with a base. “Up” allows the viewer to place the work in many configurations, each with its own possibilities. There are no wrong answers. Simultaneously, it freed me to fully reconsider the work as offering multiple experiences.
